Containers

In 2001, a visit to the customs port in Argentina elects a new core element for my paintings.

Cargo containers become my subject of choice, and the realist setting undergoes gradual alterations thanks to my use of digital cameras and graphic resources in my work process. The horizon remains on the landscape, but the realism slowly gives way to abstraction. The container is a mystery. You never know what’s inside, or whether it’s empty or full.
